Purpose: To manage day-to-day activities and to build all facets of Abigail Ministries, a non-profit charitable organization providing safe, confidential support groups for women in abusive intimate relationships, and educating the faith community and the community at large about the dynamics of domestic violence to better serve families experiencing abuse. (This is part-time position developing toward full-time.)
Responsibilities: maintain confidentiality, develop communication tools, oversee website, fundraising, secure grants, build relationships with host churches and new churches to expand ministry, pursue professional development in the fields of non-profit management and domestic violence.
Requirements: Bible school or college degree preferred, non-profit experience preferred, business and/or personnel experience, grant writing ability/experience preferred, complete Abigail Ministries training.
Personal Qualifications: commitment to Jesus Christ and agree to Abigail Ministries' Faith Statement, have a passion to help abused women, excellent personal boundaries and ethics, strong communication skills, written and verbal, ability to work well with others, engaging volunteers and networking in the community, effective management and organizational skills.
