Jan Markowitz
Jan was born in an Army hospital in Georgia on Veterans Day and later moved to Ohio with her family. Jan worked as a cosmetologist, church directory photographer, nurse assistant, fast-food store manager, but always felt that God was leading her to something yet to come.
A Christian radio station opened up a block from her home, she was trained on the job, and soon knew this was what God had been calling her to as she began playing Christian music and sharing the Gospel. Jan has worked for stations in Akron and Cleveland and started at Moody Radio Cleveland in 2003. Jan also travels around Ohio and Pennsylvania with her husband, Mark, as a conference speaker and soloist and ministers in local nursing homes.
