We're Teaming Up With Buckner

Moody Radio Cleveland is teaming once again with Buckner International, but this time, it’s not about shoes.

It’s the simple gift of a hygiene kit that can make all the difference for a child—and we'll be focusing our attention on children in the Dominican Republic. We have a list of the contents for the hygiene kit, and we're asking that you or your family or your home group purchase the items and place them in a two-gallon plastic bag (that zips closed).

For the contents of the hygiene kit, please stick to the items on this LIST of requested and permitted items. The list mentions a "small Christmas present." That's up to you, but it needs to also fit inside the two-gallon plastic bag.

The giving happens now through Aug. 4. Then, the receiving happens in December when thousands of children in the Dominican Republic will be blessed by your thoughtfulness.

FAQ

If I cannot get to one of your drop-off locations to pick up a bag, what kind should I use?
Our friends at Buckner ask that you be sure the bag is a clear, large two-gallon size. Any brand is fine but it should be able to be sealed closed. 

If I cannot deliver the bag to a drop-off location, can I bring it to the WCRF studios?
Yes, but drop-off is only available during weekday business hours of 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

Are there other financial needs related to this project?
Yes, Buckner will be arranging to have the bags trucked from Ohio to their facilities in Texas and then on to the Dominican Republic. Cash gifts of any size made out to Buckner and included with your filled bag would be much appreciated to help with these expenses.
